This policy explains what information APIFlow ("APIFlow", "we", "us") collects when you use https://www.apiflow.in, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We are based in India and work with clients worldwide, so we write this to satisfy Indian law (the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023) as well as the GDPR and UK GDPR where they apply to you.
What we collect
- Information you send us. When you submit the contact form or email us, we receive what you type: your name, email address, company, phone or WhatsApp number if you give one, the project type, your website, and your message.
- Usage analytics. We use Vercel Analytics, a privacy-focused, cookie-less analytics service. It records page views, referrer, country, device type, and browser. It does not create a persistent identifier for you across sites.
- Product analytics. We use Google Analytics and Mixpanel to understand how the site is used: pages viewed, buttons clicked, and whether the contact form was started and completed. These services store an anonymous identifier in your browser so repeat visits from the same device can be counted once, and record the campaign or referrer that brought you here. If you submit the contact form, we link that identifier to your email address so we can see how you first found us. Neither service is used for advertising or retargeting.
- Session replay.Mixpanel also records a playback of your visit — the pages you move through, where you scroll, and where you click — so we can see where the site confuses people and fix it. The recording is masked by default: all text and all form inputs are hidden before anything leaves your browser, and images and video are blocked, so we cannot read what you type into the contact form. What we see is closer to an outline of the page than a video of your screen. Recordings are kept only as long as our Mixpanel plan retains them.
- Server logs. Our hosting providers (Vercel and Cloudflare) keep standard request logs including IP address and user agent for security and reliability, for a limited period.
We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party retargeting, and we never sell your data. You can opt out of the analytics above by using an ad or tracker blocker; Mixpanel is also configured to honour your browser’s “Do Not Track” setting.
Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry, scope a project, and send a quote.
- To keep a record of our correspondence with you.
- To understand which pages are useful and keep the site working and secure.
- To meet legal obligations, such as tax and accounting records for clients.
Under the GDPR our legal bases are your consent (when you send the form), our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and running the business, and performance of a contract once you become a client.
Where it goes
Contact form submissions are stored in a database hosted on Cloudflare and a copy is emailed to our team. Email is handled by our email provider. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone except the service providers we need to run the site and respond to you, each of whom is bound to process it only on our instructions.
How long we keep it
Enquiries we do not take further are deleted within 24 months. Client records are kept for as long as the engagement lasts plus the period required for tax and accounting law. Analytics data is aggregated and does not identify you.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it. You can withdraw consent at any time. To do any of this, email hello@apiflow.in and we will respond within 30 days. If you are in the EU or UK you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Form data is transmitted encrypted and stored with access limited to our team. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we will tell you promptly if we learn of a breach affecting your information.
Children
Our services are for businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes
We will post any changes here and update the date at the top. If a change materially affects how we use information you have already given us, we will email you.
